The advanced lessons discuss a hot
topic, new release of information from the IRS or State Agencies, or a
difficult compliance topic such as Acquisition/Rehabs, mixed income
developments, and properties combined with other programs such as HOME or
Bonds.
Sometimes the lessons will be comprised of articles I think are important for the subscribers to read… other times it may be a short course on an important subject. And of course, if the lesson is focused on a newly published Revenue Ruling, Procedure or regulation, it will include the actual published document and a discussion of its impact on your business!
As a subscriber, you will receive a
personal email from me each time a new lesson is posted. But, again,
remember, these lessons will remain available to you until December 31, so if you currently find yourself embroiled in the latest rent-up or
are busy putting fires out, just note a new lesson has been posted and
access it when things calm down a bit!

You will begin this membership
as an NCP-Candidate. Once
we receive your subscription, you will have IMMEDIATE ACCESS to the
There are 3 designation
levels: the NCP-Candidate,
the NCP
and the NCP-Executive. Your designation level will
be based on your meeting the National Compliance Professional Experience
and Education Requirements.
The Experience
Requirement is simply met by having 6
months or more experience in the Housing Credit industry and the Education Requirement
is met in ONE of the following ways:

Pass the National Compliance Exam as administered by the
-
Pass one of the other 2 nationally recognized industry compliance Exams which are the Home Builder’s HCCP test and Spectrum’s C3P test… in other words, we won’t make you pass another test as you have already proven you know your stuff by passing one of these 2 tests;
OR -
Earn your Housing Credit Compliance Diploma which is done by taking 3 different courses through the Housing Credit College… we understand that not every one is suited for taking tests and so by earning your Diploma we feel that you have demonstrated your commitment to your education and the rules of the Housing Credit Program!
If
you meet the Experience Requirement and ONE Educational
Requirements, you
are assigned the designation level known as National
Compliance Professional or NCP.
If
meet the Experience Requirement, passed ONE of the 3 exams and have
earned your Compliance
Diploma, you will be assigned the
highest industry designation known as the National Compliance Professional-Executive or
NCP-E.
If
you have not fulfilled either the Experience or Educational Requirement
(or either yet), that
is okay as your designation level will remain as NCP-Candidate
until you do.
Once we process your
application and determine your designation level, we will send you your NCP
Membership Kit including your NCP lapel pin
and certificate and you will be a full-fledged member in the NCP
Membership Group and eligible for
all of its benefits which include our Compliance
Alert notification system; special discounts
for NCP members on Housing Credit College workshops, online trainings; and
products ranging from 10% to 15%; and special invitations to our NCP
Networking Dinners and our Annual
NCP Conference, to name just a few.
